The
"ASEAN Food & Beverage Exhibition," which
was held for two (2) months at the Permanent Exhibition
Hall (PEH) of the Centre, ended in success on November
5 (Fri.), 2004.
A total of 286 business meetings were conducted for
three (3) days from October 5 to 7, 2004. Twenty-five
exhibitors from ASEAN played an active role in promoting
their products during the business meetings, which made
a contribution to satisfy many Japanese buyers.
Specially, fruits juice and virgin coconut oil from
the Philippines, organic foods from Thailand, frozen
vegetables/fruits and tea from Vietnam, etc. attracted
much attention from the buyers during the exhibition.
Moreover, the Centre conducted sample tasting events
and seminars about import foods from ASEAN countries
during this exhibition and well received.
We plan to hold these kinds of events in the future
as well.
