March 20-26, 2009 : Special Tour for Prize-winners (Cambodia and Thailand)

Prize-winners of ASEAN Tour Planning Competition were invited to a special tour to Cambodia and Thailand from March 20th to 26th, 2009. They were also invited to the Award Ceremony which was held during the reception of Centre’s Council Meeting on March 31, 2009.

The special tour for prize-winners was designed based on the Grand Prize Winner, Ms Song’s tour plan with destinations in Cambodia and Thailand. Through this tour, they were able to learn traditional culture, to get to know local people, played traditional musical instruments and dance, created shadow figures and also visited a well in a small village in Cambodia. The tour also included other winners’ plans such as riding a bicycle in Angkor heritage area and visiting a hospital in Bangkok.

As the Award Ceremony was held during a reception of Centre’s Council Meeting, the prize-winners were celebrated by not only Council Directors of ASEAN but also other distinguished guests, which made the ceremony unforgettable for them.
